Big Bank Grew by 58% with Multilingual Translation API

About Client
The bank we work with is well-known and well-established in India. For decades, they have been serving both businesses and individuals. They were known for their traditional values and new ideas, and they constantly aspired to reach out to people from all walks of life.
Challenges
The bank was running a large push to get people in different states to use its new banking services. The target audience was people who were more comfortable reading in their mother tongue, especially in smaller cities and towns.
Although the bank had great marketing material ready, it was all in English. And that worked for urban centers, but not for regional markets. Translating documents is very complex when local language scripts like Assamese or Malayalam replace English.
- The content had to be translated into 8 Indian official languages to reach different states.
- Each translated version had to maintain the original layout and design.
- There wasn't much time to get things ready for the campaign.
- Translations and design has to be quick and effective without losing quality.
Solution
We initially approached it as a complete content adaptation and design solution. We translated the content into multiple Indian languages with a meaningful adaptation for the desktop publishing (DTP) phase.
Our machine translation implementation translates and transliterates everything, including flyers, brochures, and digital posters, to ensure the translated content fits seamlessly without disturbing the original design. Tone and intent of each message are modified according to the natural language and intent to match the user's emotion.

Key Features
Things that helped make this project a success:
- Used both banking terminology and cultural context.
- Created multilingual layouts to avoid formatting issues.
- We made the content accurate and polished using automation.
Impact
After the campaign launch, the traffic improved significantly. Branches in smaller towns reported increased traffic by 58%.
More people engaged with the bank's ads, mainly where local-language versions were used. Their outreach felt more personal, and it showed in the results.
